Welcome to PAGG

The Professional Alliance for GIS and Geosciences or PAGG is a society formed for non-profit educational and scientific purposes. It is an exciting new initiative geared to promote a better understanding of Geographic Information Systems (or GIS) and the practical and efficient use of GIS technology in support of the decision making process through out the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. This Society was first envisioned by a group of GIS enthusiasts, September 20 2001. This small group of visionaries, performing as the PAGG interim task force led by Ms. Shantelle Lopez, recognized the important role of GIS and the phenomenal benefits to be gained in its use in the government, public, private and academic sectors.
